It's Talk Like Shakespeare Day!
Romeo:
I fear, too early: for my mind misgives
Some consequence yet hanging in the stars
Shall bitterly begin his fearful date
With this night's revels and expire the term
Of a despised life closed in my breast
By some vile forfeit of untimely death.
But He, that hath the steerage of my course,
Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen.

Interactive Books
This is one dragon that I've wanted to slay for a long time: creating interactive books.
iPad: Apps versus eBooks. "Unlike e-readers, which typically reproduce a traditional book experience on an electronic screen, these apps can offer animation, music, and many interactive features."

Alive! he cried
Happy 90th birthday, Lawrence Ferlinghetti!
The LA Times wrote an article about this cultural icon today. It should be a national holiday. Dead or alive? Alive! I had no idea.

I Think I Know How Uncle Fester Felt
Thankfully today I don't have a headache. Had a bad one on Sunday and into Monday.
I have been "living" with these for far too long. More than 20 years---if I'm honest. And I have finally accepted that they are dibilatating even if I'm not sequestered away in a dark room for the whole time.
Today I re-scheduled my appointment with a neurologist. I hope (pray) that he can help and that his remedy doesn't cost hundreds of dollars.

Health Care and Caring
Feed the babies who don't have enough to eat.
Shoe the children with no shoes on their feet.
House the people living in the street.
There's a solution.
-Steve Miller, Fly Like An Eagle
Enough with the every-man-for-himself mentality. Enough.
